WIRES - HANOI
Since first encountering the bundling of public utility wires in Bangkok in 2006, I have thought about how these configurations might be representing the information and voices they carry or some larger idea. I finally began drawing the various wire configurations while in Hanoi in 2013. I chose graphite as the medium for the drawing since it is a conductive material and iridescent metallic paint on silver paper on the facing diagram to relate to ideas of preciousness as well as "transmission." I will share my new diagrammatic translations of them as they are completed.
